Hello everyone! Tonight’s NBA schedule is light as far as games featuring former University of Kentucky Wildcats. There are only three matchups for us this evening, and all are exclusively for subscribers to NBA League Pass. Let’s take a look at tonight’s offerings.
7:00pm ET on NBA League Pass: Orlando Magic at Indiana Pacers. Jodie Meeks is on the Magic’s roster, but he’s still out healing from a foot fracture, so no former UK Wildcats will be on the floor in this one.
7:30pm ET on NBA League Pass: Oklahoma City Thunder at Detroit Pistons. Enes Kanter and the Thunder travel to the Motor City to face Andre Drummond’s Pistons. Steven Adams and Kanter will have their work cut out for them, as Drummond is one of the best centers in the NBA. He hasn’t played in a while, but we could also see Boban Marjanovic, who is honestly worth the price of admission just to watch him move around on the court, as he is a true giant.
8:00pm ET on NBA League Pass: Boston Celtics at New Orleans Pelicans. You hate to call injuries a good thing on any level, and especially not when the Pelicans’ roster is constantly ravaged with injuries, but Al Horford is doubtful and Jae Crowder is out tonight for the Celtics, so the Pelicans could have an easier road to a W in this one. Anthony Davis had a rough time last game with his back, but he’s supposedly going to play tonight. Terrence Jones and Archie Goodwin will also be ready for the Pelicans. James Young recently had a big game for the Celtics, playing 16 minutes vs Indiana, so he may continue to get more playing time tonight.
8:00pm ET on NBA League Pass: Philadelphia 76ers at Houston Rockets. Nerlens Noel is still healing from plica surgery, and Kyle Wiltjer has been assigned to the D-League’s Rio Grande Valley Vipers, so no former UK Wildcats will be on the floor in this one.
9:00pm ET on NBA League Pass: Memphis Grizzlies at Utah Jazz. Andrew Harrison is doing well for the Grizz, playing 26 & 17 minutes in his last two games. His goal is to be the number one reserve behind Mike Conley. We’ll see how he does tonight vs the Utah Jazz and his former Kentucky teammate Trey Lyles. Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph will go up against Lyles and Rudy Gobert in the paint, making this a paint showcase.
There you have it, a review of tonight’s shorter NBA schedule featuring our former Wildcats. Enjoy!
