Hello everyone! Time for a review of tonight’s NBA games that feature former University of Kentucky Wildcats. We’ve got four of them tonight: two nationally televised games on TNT, and two games for those of you who subscribe to NBA League Pass. Let’s have a look at what’s ahead.

First, the games on TNT:

8:00pm ET on TNT: Boston Celtics at Cleveland Cavaliers. James Young hasn’t been playing much lately for the Celtics; same goes for DeAndre Liggins for the Cavaliers. Both are healthy and available, though, and the Cavs are fun to watch even without Liggins, featuring LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love as their “big three.” Multiple Cavs, including LeBron James and J.R. Smith, were at World Series Game 7 last night, so this game was not exactly their top priority (which is how it should be in this scenario, IMO). Perhaps they realized that this game is really just the opening act for the late game, which is…

10:30pm ET on TNT: Oklahoma City Thunder at Golden State Warriors. Yes, this game deserves the bold font! In case you have somehow managed to miss all the soap-opera-style coverage of this, allow me to get you up to speed: Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were a power duo in OKC for years, as well as best friends. Kevin Durant was a free agent during this past summer. Every summer, there is at least one player who is pursued by the entire league. Durant was that player, and he decided that his priority was to win championships. He felt that he could not do that in OKC, so he signed a contract with the Golden State Warriors. That’s right, the team that already has Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, among other stars. As if they needed the extra help. The Warriors are now the favorite to win the Western Conference, as well as possibly winning the NBA Championship this year with their “super team.” Westbrook and Durant are constantly asked about each other by the media, and Russ’ answers, or non-answers, in particular are always entertaining. This game has been anticipated by NBA fans since the day Durant signed with GSW. Westbrook is normally an explosive player but look for him to be over-the-top energetic in this one. This will be his show to run tonight. There are no other games in this slot and the earlier games should all be wrapped up by 10:30pm, unless there’s overtime. This is absolutely a must-watch game. Oh yeah, and OKC has Enes Kanter.

Here are the remaining games for NBA League Pass subscribers:

7:00pm ET on NBA League Pass: Sacramento Kings at Orlando Magic. The Kings are still figuring it out under head coach Dave Joerger, but they are already showing improvements over last year’s Kings. Changes don’t happen overnight. DeMarcus Cousins and Willie Cauley-Stein will be available for this one. Skal Labissiere has not played for a while, so he will probably be there, but don’t count on him checking in. For the Magic, Jodie Meeks is day-to-day the injury to his foot; don’t expect him to see him on the court.

8:00pm ET on NBA League Pass: Denver Nuggets at Minnesota Timberwolves. Jamal Murray is averaging about 12 minutes a game, according to the Denver Nuggets game notes, so you’re likely to see him for about a quarter’s worth. The real draw for this game, though, is that lineup they have over in Minnesota. Karl-Anthony Towns will play and he’s being touted as the next Tim Duncan. He’s joined by Zach LaVine, the current NBA Slam Dunk competition winner. Andrew Wiggins is also pretty great. Ricky Rubio recently sustained an elbow injury and is sidelined indefinitely.

So, there you have it, a review of tonight’s four games. I will definitely be watching OKC at GSW. What games are must-watches for you? Follow me on Twitter at @AmyBethCombsNBA, and let me know. Enjoy!
