Hello everyone! It’s time to review where our former University of Kentucky Wildcats in the NBA will be playing this evening. There are only five games tonight, and none of them are nationally broadcast, but you’re in luck because there is a free preview of NBA League Pass going on right now! This is the final night of the preview, so take advantage of it and tune in for some good basketball. Here’s what you can see tonight:
6:00pm ET on NBA League Pass: Philadelphia 76ers at Detroit Pistons. According to Twitter reports, Nerlens Noel is finally going to play today. As of this writing, I haven’t seen an official report, but Nerlens has been practicing and working out in recent days, so I would lean toward this being true. He has been out for a very long time after surgery on an inflamed plica, so I would expect him to be under a strong minutes restriction.
7:00pm ET on NBA League Pass: Boston Celtics at Oklahoma City Thunder. James Young has missed the last three Celtics’ games with illness, so we may not see him on the court today, but Enes Kanter will be there, ready to check in for Steven Adams.
7:00pm ET on NBA League Pass: Golden State Warriors at Minnesota Timberwolves. What can you say here? It’s the Warriors, and the Timberwolves have sadly not been very good this season, with a 6-17 record. Still, Karl-Anthony Towns will be there to put on a show.
8:30pm ET on NBA League Pass: New Orleans Pelicans at Phoenix Suns. Here’s your game of the night in terms of seeing the most Wildcats in one gym: Anthony Davis, Terrence Jones, Eric Bledsoe, Devin Booker, Brandon Knight & Tyler Ulis. Anthony sat out of the Pels’ game vs the Clippers last night to rest, but he should play tonight. Tyler Ulis did not play in the Suns’ last game vs the Lakers on 12/9 (DNP-CD), so we’ll have to wait and see if he gets some playing time tonight.
9:30pm ET on NBA League Pass: New York Knicks at Los Angeles Lakers. According to the Lakers’ game notes, Julius Randle is questionable with a right hip pointer, so we may not see any Wildcats in this one. Plus, who really wants to tune away from Pels at Suns when it’s packed with Kentucky guys?
There you have it, a review of where we could see some of our former Cats in the NBA tonight. Enjoy!
