Happy Sunday, everyone! No nationally televised games today featuring former University of Kentucky Wildcats, but if you are an NBA League Pass subscriber, there are five games for you. Here’s a quick review of your choices.
12:00pm ET on NBA League Pass: Utah Jazz at New York Knicks. I forgot that there was a matinee in Madison Square Garden today! This one just wrapped up at the time of this writing. Trey Lyles and the Jazz defeated the New York Knicks, 114-109.
3:30pm ET on NBA League Pass: Portland Trail Blazers at Memphis Grizzlies. Andrew Harrison could check in for the Grizz today. The last two games saw his minutes greatly diminished, with a DNP in one, and 3 minutes in the next. We’ll see what happens.
6:00pm ET on NBA League Pass: Sacramento Kings at Toronto Raptors. This is the final and most difficult matchup for the Kings on this road trip, and they are winless so far in their travels. Can DeMarcus Cousins, Willie Cauley-Stein and Skal Labissiere lead their Kings to a victory over Patrick Patterson’s Raptors? With four former Cats in this game, along with Raps’ head coach Dwane Casey, I’d recommend tuning in.
7:30pm ET on NBA League Pass: Denver Nuggets at Boston Celtics. Jamal Murray finally scored some buckets in the Nuggets’ game last night, so this may be just the thing to get him confidently launched into his NBA career. James Young could come off the bench for the Celtics, as well.
9:30pm ET on NBA League Pass: Phoenix Suns at Los Angeles Lakers. This is your game of the night if your goal is to see as many former UK Cats as possible. Eric Bledsoe, Devin Booker, Brandon Knight, Tyler Ulis and Julius Randle will all be available for this one in Staples Center. I know I’ll be watching. Lots of other young upcoming talent here, including Brandon Ingram and D’Angelo Russell.
There you have it, a quick rundown of where some of our former Cats are playing tonight. Will you be watching? Enjoy!
University of Kentucky alumna. DeMarcus Cousins was my gateway into the NBA. Watching former Kentucky Wildcats thrive in the pros is the best.
