Hello everyone! We’ve got a short schedule tonight, but the good news is, all four of them feature former University of Kentucky Wildcats! Plus, it’s TNT Thursday, so we have two nationally televised games, plus Inside the NBA will be on afterward! If ITN comes on too late for you to watch it live, I recommend you record it to your DVR, or find it on YouTube each week. In my opinion, it’s one of the very best sports programs on television.
8:00pm ET on TNT: Chicago Bulls at Miami Heat. The Bulls are 1-3 on the road, and Miami has some solid young talent, so Rajon Rondo’s Bulls will have their work cut out for them. The Bulls are also coming off a loss, falling last night to the Hawks. The Heat have not played since Monday night, so they are well-rested. Marv Albert, Kevin McHale and Charles Barkley will have the call.
8:00pm ET on NBA League Pass: New Orleans Pelicans at Milwaukee Bucks. The Pelicans are desperately searching for their first win, currently sitting on an 0-8 record. They have faced the Bucks once already and fell by a margin of only four points. Can Anthony Davis, Terrence Jones and Archie Goodwin get a win on the road tonight? Hopefully they will get one before the Philadelphia 76ers do; they’re the only other winless team left in the NBA.
9:00pm ET on NBA League Pass: Golden State Warriors at Denver Nuggets. Jamal Murray could conceivably play point guard against Steph Curry for the first time in Oakland tonight. If you’re a Murray fan, you should check that out. The Nuggets haven’t played since Tuesday, so they have gotten some rest, whereas the Warriors played last night. GSW may be playing with a bit more fire tonight since the Cleveland Cavaliers made their visit to the White House today.
10:30pm ET on TNT: Los Angeles Lakers at Sacramento Kings. This right here is my game of the night because this is the first time the Lakers will be visiting the Golden 1 Center for a regular season matchup, and the place will be absolutely rocking. Laker fans turn out in droves when their team plays in Sacramento, and Kings’ fans kick up their noise to try to drown out the competition. Cowbells will be ringing in your ears all night after watching this. Julius Randle going up against DeMarcus Cousins is always worth the price of admission; they go hard against each other. The Lakers are on an upswing right now behind their young energetic roster, so expect the game to be high-energy and competitive. If Willie Cauley-Stein plays, he will be going for any and every block imaginable.
There you have it, tonight’s small lineup of games. Enjoy!

University of Kentucky alumna. DeMarcus Cousins was my gateway into the NBA. Watching former Kentucky Wildcats thrive in the pros is the best.
